Emilie Eisele lost her husband at an early age in the First World War. As a nurse and Caritas member, she courageously supported the Jewish Frankfurter family in Göppingen during the Nazi era. She helped bring two children to Tel Aviv, cared for the grandparents until their deportation, and saved their property – despite social vilification. After fleeing to Upper Swabia, she returned after the war and managed the Frankfurter assets as a trustee. Emilie Eisele died in Göppingen in 1971.
