Reichenau a vegetable island with lots of greenhouses. The way there a super avenue with a separate bike path, a quiet ride. Some great restaurants and cafes with a view of the lake. It was really fun to explore them

Lake Constance is not only a geographical highlight in southern Germany, but also a dynamic living and cultural space that attracts millions of visitors annually. As the third largest lake in Central Europe, with a total area of 536 square kilometers, it uniquely connects the three nations of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The interplay of ice-age-shaped nature, historical islands, and modern infrastructure makes the region one of Europe's most attractive travel destinations. Natural Area and Geography The heart of the region is formed by the vast body of water, which is largely fed by the Rhine River. The river flows through the deep Obersee, passes the historic city of Konstanz, and finally flows into the shallower, island-rich Untersee. With a maximum depth of 251 meters, the lake holds gigantic masses of water that simultaneously function as a huge heat reservoir. This mild microclimate allows for intensive viticulture and fruit cultivation around the lake, which shapes the landscape.
