Historic water tower – built in 1558 by Wenzel Röhrscheidt the Elder on the site of an earlier wooden structure that burned down in 1515. The tower played a key role in the city's traditional water supply system – using pumps and a complex pipe system, it brought water from the Spree to the most important points of Budyšin. Thanks to this, residents had access to clean drinking water, and the system operated until 1965.
