The Ranzin manor house dates back to a manor house from the 14th century. Completely destroyed by fire in 1875 and rebuilt a short time later and subsequently referred to as a castle. After the Second World War, the castle was expropriated and subsequently used as a retirement home, vocational school and apprentices' home. Only after the fall of the Wall could a new owner be found, who had the manor house converted and renovated and has been running a hotel ever since.

Hidden little spot in the forest with plenty of seating and a small hut with a fireplace and barbecue area. Responsible use should of course be a matter of course.

The Ranzin Manor, also known as Ranzin Castle, dates back to 1877. The original manor buildings were completely destroyed in a fire in 1875. During the 20th century, the property experienced various forms of use, including as a retirement home or as an apprenticeship home and vocational school. During this time the building unfortunately lost some of its original grandeur. In the 1980s, however, it went back into private ownership, was extensively renovated and is now used as a hotel and event location.
