According to legend, this was Frau Harke's starting and landing point, as she took flight at the summer solstice to survey her realm from high above – sometimes carried by a magnificent team of four swans. Beautiful natural lake, there are relatively few properties that are directly on the water. This means that you can almost always stay close to the shore, we had our dog with us, at the end of the hike I had to remove a few ticks, there seems to be a lot this year.

Coming from Kamern, the path to Mahlitz initially consists of perfect concrete road slabs, then the surface changes to well-processed gravel, and finally, from the refuge, it changes into a classic Brandenburg sand forest path. This last section is actually only recommended for MTBs.
