The church is beautiful and historically very interesting. The original church, along with the entire village, was burned down during the Thirty Years' War. This half-timbered building was built on the foundations in 1695, and the roof tower was added in 1702 (see Wikipedia).

A really great building. Unfortunately, the route there isn't signposted at all. Coming from the train station, I would never have found the beginning without Komoot, and from the other side it's not really obvious that you can drive past the edge of the optics park to the bridge.
