The Welsh Black breed originates from the southwest of the British Isles and is ideally suited for year-round grazing on the fjord. The Welsh Black farm has been a member of Bioland since July 2024. It is run by the Schlott family, Kragholm 8, 24960 Munkbrarup. They struck us as happy cattle and were quite cuddly to look at. Of course, we must not forget that the cattle are farm animals and are sent to the slaughterhouse after two years.

Lake Roikier was formed in the 13th century from a moorland cleared by monks from Glücksburg. At that time, Glücksburg housed a Cistercian monastery, and the lake was probably used by the monks for water supply and fish farming.
