The Saalkirche consists in its core of the church tower of a former fortified church from the 11th/12th century, to which the nave, the recessed, three-sided closed choir, supported by buttresses with the sacristy under the lean-to roof were added to the east in 1491. The church tower has recently been extended with a wooden-frame bell storey and covered transversely with a hipped roof. The interior of the nave, which is lit by tracery windows, is spanned by a flat ceiling, that of the choir by a net vault. The organ on the west gallery was built in 1858 by Carl Gottlieb Weigle.

Beautiful steady, low-traffic and shady climb - much better than the road. Not easy, but no bad ramps!

Nice, new cycle path right next to the road. Thus, significantly less steep than the old path.

The sculpture "13/93" belongs to Erich Hauser's late works, which employ crystalline, fractured triangular forms whose vertical and lateral, drifting points reach towards the sky. The apparent splitting into individual geometric forms, however, does not lead to a fragmentation of the basic structure, but rather to a unity that is co-staged by the light. The prismatic decomposition of the body is reminiscent of the Cubist style at the beginning of the 20th century.
