Beautiful beaches by the lighthouse invite you to enjoy water sports

From the headland by the lighthouse, you have a magnificent view into the Kiel Fjord... there's always something going on on the water: huge cruise ships, small sailboats and water sports enthusiasts.

An alternative to the spa beach, with a small parking lot. There's a cafe and restroom at the lighthouse. The sewage treatment plant opens west of the lighthouse, and swimming is prohibited there for good reason. So, it's best to swim here on the fjord side.

A beautiful spot, definitely worth a visit. The wind here on the coast always brings a fresh breeze. But beware: risk of sunburn ;)

Municipal Harbor Strande The Strande Harbor is the first marina on the west bank of the Kiel Fjord on the sea side at the entrance to Kiel. The old fishing harbor was expanded to include a sports boat harbor with seven jetties and offers 350 berths for sailing and motor boats with a depth of 2.6 - 4.0 m. Four jetties on the west side of the harbor are floating jetties. The harbor has two slipways, a ship and mast crane, and the Kiel Yacht Club has its own shipyard with comprehensive service offerings - which can also be used by "non-members". Members of the Yacht Club Strande also have their boats here.Strandet Harbor
