Unfortunately, the path was damaged by construction machinery, and in places it was so sandy that cycling through was impossible. Bikes had to be pushed.

Attention! The train does not stop directly in front of the station building, but rather a little further ahead, toward Potsdam.

A beautiful example of how to renovate, preserve, and utilize a beautiful old train station. The station opened on October 1, 1904. In 2012, the town of Beelitz purchased the building, which at that time was a ruin. The Rehkopf family applied to the town to operate a restaurant in the building. Renovation began in 2016. The upper floor now houses two apartments, while the ground floor contains the restaurant and offices of the Nuthe-Nieplitztal Tourism Association. The building is now a listed historical monument. https://www.rehkopfs.de/bahnhof-beelitz-stadt/

The Beelitz sanatorium is a testimony to German history, from the Wilhelminian era to the division of Germany...

The former hospitals consisted of four quadrants, each with separate female and male patients and non-infectious and infectious patients. Only one of the quadrants for female patients can be visited. The rest have been converted into condominiums. From 1945 to 1994, the clinic served the Red Army as a hospital. After that, it fell into disrepair before being converted into a treetop walk with a lost place. The tours are highly recommended.
