The old town is definitely worth a look. The brewery, for example, is extremely attractive.

The overnight stay at Basthorst Castle, with its excellent spa, was very relaxing. My impression, however, is that the target audience is more likely drivers of higher-end cars. The last leg of my cycling journey was very arduous (a forest path in terrible condition... you can find many, many photos of it on Komoot - therefore, choose a longer, alternative route via the road...).

Tractor or caterpillar tracks, approx. 4 km. 🫢 At the Kölpiner Straße intersection there is a bench to rest on and the path gets better again. 🤗
