Actually, no new highlights would have been needed. The bridge was simply renovated from the ground up and the road surface renewed.

The old railway bridge has deteriorated in recent years. In 2025-2026, it was replaced by a modern, wide cycle and pedestrian bridge with benches, resting on the old bridge piers of the former railway bridge.
