Several old oak trees, each with a bench for comfortable seating. On hot summer days, it's lovely to sit here in the shade and listen to the birds.

Unfortunately, due to the water shortage, the ponds were not as beautiful as usual.

The Marian Grotto in the Leitershofen Forest near the Froschlache pond on the Schlaugraben was built by Johann Heichele (* November 29, 1906, † November 9, 1997). Mr. Heichele was a very religious man and pilgrim. He lost many of his comrades during World War II. He resolved, if he returned from the war alive, to build a Marian grotto as a thank-you. He carried out this plan after his return home. May devotions were once held there regularly under the pastor of Leitershofen, Zimmermann.

Recommended on September 21, 2024 Deuringer Forest - a wonderful piece of nature Around the Deuringer Heath, located in the Western Forests, you can enjoy nature in a leisurely or sporty way. Enjoy the peace and quiet - in the middle of nature, surrounded by ponds and pools. The wind blows through the tall grasses as you continue your walk to the large oak tree. Whether you choose a short or long walk, you are guaranteed an incomparable experience. But even in winter, the vastness of the landscape is unique, and the crunching snow under your shoes is the only sound you hear.
