Darßer Ort is located on the northwestern tip of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula on the German Baltic Sea coast. The western beach is an approximately 14-kilometer-long, natural beach that is part of the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park. The beach is characterized by its wildness; here you will find fallen trees, flotsam, and untouched dunes. Darßer Ort is not accessible by car. It can be reached on foot, by bicycle (also with a bicycle trailer or on the Darßbahn), or by horse-drawn carriage.
