The most important thing is that the animals are well"Here you can find out everything about our animal shelter, the association, where you can find us and of course the most important thing: everything about our dear residents. Our greatest concern is to find a loving home for the animals. We want to set a good example and raise awareness of the nature of animals through education, promote their well-being and prevent any kind of animal suffering. To do this, we are actively supported by a large number of volunteers. If you are interested in an animal or if you want to support us - we are happy to receive any food or monetary donations. You can also help the animals directly and volunteer to play with cats or walk dogs. Just drop by or give us a call! We look forward to your visit!

Gut Rixdorf The historic Gut Rixdorf is nestled in the rolling hills of Holstein Switzerland, right on the small river Kossau. The impressive farm buildings and 24 residential buildings with thatched roofs were built as early as 1721. The business has now been expanded into a modern arable farm with its own grain drying and storage. Since 2011, Gut Rixdorf has also had a biogas plant that generates heat as well as "green electricity" - not only for our company and the estate's partly historic residential buildings, but also for a large number of houses in our neighboring town of Lebrade. A wood chip heating system also allows us to supply the residential buildings with energy from sustainably produced energy sources.

The name could be derived from a knight named Hinrich von Ryckestorp, who was documented as the owner of the nearby Lehmkuhlen estate in 1369. The ancient Holstein noble family Rixdorf died out in 1509 with Wulf von Rixdorf. The ancient Holstein noble family von Brockdorff owned the Rixdorf estate from 1600 to 1681. In 1671, Wolf Heinrich von Baudissin was born on the Rixdorf estate. It was rebuilt between 1730 and 1740 under the master builder Rudolph Matthias Dallin. The estate has belonged to the Counts of Westphalia zu Fürstenberg since 1790. Until it was taken over by Prussia in 1867, the estate was also a patrimonial court.[1] In 1928, the estate district was dissolved and the communities of Rathjensdorf (until 1949 Tramm), Lebrade and Mucheln were created. Rathjensdorf with its districts Theresienhof, Tramm and Neutramm had been part of the Rixdorf estate as Meierhöfe for centuries.
