The Gedersberg Chapel is also known as the "Paar Cross" because it stands on the former "Paargrund" (Paar Ground). This land belonged to Mrs. Kornberger, née Paar, the former headmistress of the elementary school in Straßgang. Originally, there was only a cross here, which is still remembered. When bombs fell on Gedersberg and Kehlberg on December 19, 1944, the cross was also destroyed. A new chapel was built. This chapel was renovated and consecrated in 1989. A bomb fragment on the wall serves as a reminder of the destruction of the Paar Cross, but the statues of saints remained intact.
