The section down by the Spranzlbach is idyllic and quite pleasant, the official MTB route then climbs steeply.

Here on the ridge, the forest road runs evenly and flatly up to the access road for the observation tower, interrupted only by a short dip at the junction towards Großenschwandt.

Lichtenberg viewing tower – My favorite place for far-reaching views The Lichtenberg viewing tower is one of the most beautiful viewpoints around Vöcklabruck for me. I make a short stop here on almost every tour – and so far, climbing the tower has been worth it every time. At the top, an impressive 360° panoramic view awaits you. With good visibility, the view extends across the Attersee, the Höllengebirge, the Traunstein, the Dachstein, far into the Salzkammergut and the Alpine foothills. 📸🏔️ 🚴♂️ My tip: Bring some time with you and simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Especially in the early morning hours or shortly before sunset, there is a very special atmosphere here, and the view is often spectacular. 📷 Photo tip: The tower is excellent for panoramic shots. With Föhn wind or clear autumn air, the distant views are particularly impressive. 💡 My conclusion: One of those places I never just drive past. Anyone who enjoys views should definitely plan the short detour – you won't regret it.
