Coming from the south (vineyard), enter the forest, then turn left (do not go around the forest to the southwest, it will be difficult there), from the north (staffel) there are 2 steeper paths leading up, we used the left one around the outside, at the top it is then comfortably flat in the forest to the summit cross

Krailberg is the highest point in the Wels-Land district with a height of 504 meters. It lies on the border of the communities of Bachmanning, Neukirchen and Pennewang. There is a summit cross on the Krailberg that was built in 2011. Krailberg is a popular destination for hikers who can enjoy beautiful hiking trails through picturesque forests. There are several routes to reach the summit, starting from various villages in the area. Some of the most recommended are: Hike from Bachmanning: This is a 9.5 km long hiking trail that starts from the Bachmanning town hall and passes the St. Leonhard Chapel and the Bachmanning Castle before reaching the summit of Krailberg. Hike from Neukirchen: This is a 7.5 km long circular route that starts from the Neukirchen multi-purpose hall and follows a forest road to the summit of the Krailberg. Hike from Pennewang: This is a 6.5 km long circular route that starts from the Pennewang church and crosses the fields and forests to the summit of the Krailberg.

The organ in Bachmanning Church is played by the parish organist, Mr. Franz Huber. He has held this position since 1982 and has played the organ in many church services and concerts. He is also responsible for the care and maintenance of the organ. Mr. Huber is not only a talented organist, but also a dedicated parish councilor and member of the Liturgy Committee. He regularly organizes musical events in the church, such as Advent singing, the Easter concert or the organ festival. He also likes to invite guest organists from other parishes or regions to present the diversity of organ music. Mr. Huber has a great passion for the organ and would like to pass it on to the next generation. He therefore offers organ lessons for children and young people who are interested in this instrument. He has already trained a few students who sometimes support him at church services or concerts. I find it very impressive how Mr. Huber keeps the organ in the Bachmanning church alive. It is a valuable treasure for the parish and the community.

The organ has 14 registers on two manuals and pedal. The organ was restored and rebuilt in 1986 by the Kögler company from St. Florian. The organ has a mechanical action and register action and an electric wind turbine. The organ is an important instrument for the musical arrangement of services and concerts in the church. The organ has a beautiful sound and fits in well with the Gothic room. The organ is regularly played by the parish organist and by guest organists on special occasions. If you would like to hear or see the organ, you can visit the church or check the parish website for current dates. The church is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m

The Bachmanning Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in the village of Bachmanning in the municipality of Bachmanning in the district of Wels-Land in Upper Austria. The church is dedicated to St. Erasmus and belongs to the Deanery of Gaspoltshofen in the Diocese of Linz. The church is under monument protection. The church was first mentioned in a document in 927. The late Gothic church building from the 15th century was extensively renovated on the outside. The church has a single nave with a rib vaulted choir. On the south side there is a late Gothic portal with the building inscription 1489. The frescoes inside date from the end of the 15th century and were uncovered in 1959. The interior of the church is partly baroque and partly neo-gothic. The pulpit is from the Baroque period, as is the group of figures of the Coronation of Mary on the left side altar. The right side altar bears a late Gothic Vesperbild as a bas-relief from the beginning of the 16th century, which was restored in 1955. The church is located on a hill in the middle of the village and offers a beautiful view of the surroundings. Bachmanning Parish has a vibrant community with various activities for children, youth and seniors. Worship services are held at 8:00 am every Sunday and on special holidays.
