Bäckerei Wiech For several generations, the art of baking has been at home in the Wiech family. True to the motto "Quality and freshness from traditional baking craft", their baked goods are still made today from original, genuine craftsmanship. The aim of Bäckerei Wiech is to offer you the best quality, fresh from the oven. Classic baking is a lived tradition here. "Not from the conveyor belt, but by hand" is the motto. This is precisely what customers appreciate, and you can taste it. The bakery in Falltorstraße is centrally located and therefore ideally accessible. Since 1992, you will find numerous specialties here alongside typical baked goods such as rolls, bread, and pretzels. These can be seasonal products (e.g. Mutscheln), but also extraordinary items, such as Fußballweckle or Mother's Day bread. Spelt products are particularly popular. For a snack on the go, various cold and hot drinks complete the offering. The Mössingen family bakery Wiech proves: chemistry and machines do not replace craftsmanship from a master hand. You can taste it! We offer numerous delicacies from our own production, such as Bread, rolls, pretzels, and more Cakes for every occasion from our own confectionery Spelt products, ideal for allergy sufferers In addition, the bakery is a cooperation partner of the "Mössinger Picknicksäckle". As early as 1823, a "two-story dwelling" with an oil, grinding, and plaster mill and a hemp scrubber was mentioned in the "Gebäude-Cataster" (Building Cadastre) at the Hornsteg. However, it is likely that one of the two Mössingen mills from the 15th century was already located there, as indicated by the old field names "Milgaßen" and "Unterwässerle". The current plaster mill was built in 1836 by the oil miller Johannes Neth. Before concentrating on plaster production in 1894, they also operated a grinding mill and hemp scrubber. The mill operation ceased in 1933. Next to the mill building was a barn, newly built in 1837, which was demolished in 1976. Continuing from the barn was the Spittel, which burned down in 1908.

The former Mössingen town hall was built in 1567. For a long time, the town hall was used in a variety of ways. It was the seat of the mayor, municipal officials, and a meeting place for the municipal council. Furthermore, a wine press was located in the basement until the 18th century. According to a mayoral account from 1817, the town hall served "for judicial proceedings and all sorts of municipal arrangements, also for the storage of the community's fruits, dishes, and household effects, and at the same time for use at weekly markets as a granary".

In the Historical Knife Forge, time has stood still. It still looks as it did 100 years ago. Around 1900, the cutler Johannes Nill, known as the "Lustig" (jolly one), produced his knives here. The whole family still had to help with muscle power on the grinding mechanism when sharpening knives. In 1910, the first electric motor was acquired. Son and successor Robert Nill set up a new grinding workshop in 1920. The rooms are still preserved in their original state today.
