The rest area has been recently renovated. Still too close to the village for my taste. The view is still nice.

A nice little gem. A great little pond in which the fish frolic. There is also a small jetty.

LOCKING POINT FRICK This blocking point comprised 69 objects as part of the army position between Gempenplateau and Lauffohr (2nd Army Corps). To the north of Frick there are several armaments and an anti-tank obstacle (1939/40) that blocked the Rheinfelden-Frick and Laufenbrug-Frick axes. To the east of Frick there are 1 infantry and a machine gun plant, the remains of a defensive position between Frickberg and Kornberg that had been demolished due to the construction of the motorway. As a replacement, two Centurion bunkers and two anti-tank obstacles with numerous road barricades were built east of it in 1984. And finally, a chain of partly very simple buried troops runs from Frickberg along the heights of the Table Jura to the Schinberg. Most of them are observation and armaments, but there are also some primitive rifle stations. https://www.festung-oberland.ch/sperren/ Grenzbrigade-5/frick/
