A rare architectural veneration of the Most Holy Trinity, the triangular tower of the pilgrimage church "auf der Oed" near Aham overlooks the Lower Bavarian hills. Around 1700, farmer Baumgartner got lost during a storm, recognized his way home through an oak tree, and pinned a clay statue of the Trinity to the tree. With the support of Baron von Lerchenfeld, lord of the manor of Aham, a pilgrimage began; a hermitage was built, and in 1710, a Baroque church was erected. Around seven hermits lived at Trinity until the hermitage was sold in 1779. A turbulent past can be traced: a Trinity brotherhood was founded, and many priests and clergy were needed for the high feast days. Even today, "Dreifaltigkeit auf der Öd" has not lost its charm as the "Wieskirche of the Vils Valley." (https://www.museum-vilsbiburg.de/die-kirche-und-klause-dreifaltigkeit-auf-der-oed-bei-aham-2/)

Very easy to ride on a gravel bike. But it should also be possible on a road bike. The scenery is beautiful!
