September 13, 2025, Breckenridge Station and Gondola

This is where most of the shuttles in and out of Breckenridge will stop or start. There are many lines, so be sure to take the right color (green, grey, orange ...). Use the map to get an overview which line is heading where. There are also lines that will take you the the Bunkhouse Lodge, the CT/CDT Trailhead (Golden Hill) and even to Frisco. All shuttles are free and so is the gondola which is right at the station.

The City Market has a decent variety of groceries, pharmacy and regular things that you might expect in a town store. Prices are acceptable, although Breckenridge is pretty touristy.

This local history museum is the home of Barney Ford, preserved largely as it was in 1882. Ford was an escaped slave, civil rights leader, and businessman. The docents at the museum are very friendly and can talk you through his story.

This multi-use paved path begins at the Frisco Marina, continues around the reservoir, passes through campgrounds, crosses the Dillon Dam, and concludes at the town of Dillon.

The former prospector town of Breckenridge is now a (ski) resort that offers all the services you are looking for. There are multiple restaurants, accommodations, grocery stores, laundromats, post office, and several outfitters. To get around town, you can use the free shuttles and buses. Even the gondola is free. ;)

Breckenridge sits at the base of Colorado's Tenmile Range and is a mining town turned ski resort town. The historic Main Street is still lined with Victorian houses and storefronts from the late 1800s.
