The Paradise in Baden-Baden is a water feature that overcomes an altitude difference of 40 meters on the Annaberg. The view from there over the old town with the towering spire of the Stiftskirche and across to the opposite Friesenberg is impressive. From 1922-1925, the park and residential complex was created according to plans by Professor Max Laeuger, which were oriented towards the model of Italian Renaissance gardens. Starting with a fountain grotto with columned arcades, located on Markgrafenstrasse, the garden complex extends downhill across Zeppelinstrasse and Prinz-Weimar-Strasse to Bernhardstrasse. The central water staircase is flanked by symmetrically arranged villas. Source: http://paradies-baden-baden.de/

Anyone walking from the city center to Lichtentaler Allee these days will likely pass this tree. I found the colors so beautiful – and those who continue along the avenue will be richly rewarded: autumnal colors in Baden-Baden.
