This Sunday (22/10/2023), running enthusiasts gathered in Bouxhmont, Battice, near Line 38, for the start of the 4 Cimes du Pays de Herve. This hilly event of 33 km was created in 1986 by four enthusiasts, Fernand Maréchal, Michel Dropsy, Bernard Viaene and Guy Pirnay, who had a passion not only for jogging but also for the landscapes of the bocage. A number of old-timers were present to cut the ribbon on a memorial stone. A beautiful work of 3.5 meters in corten steel by Samuel Hennen. It is the bet of a group of runners who are in love with their country and a certain running philosophy. The one that is mainly about adventure and discovery of others. The one who digs his roots in nature and finds his pleasure on a hard, selective course, where the soul and body can be liberated. The 4 peaks of the Pays de Herve await runners with a “mountain spirit”. 2nd Sunday of November
