The shooting range belongs to the Akkermansgilde from 1594. Originally the guild of farmers and agricultural workers who lived outside the walls of Venlo. In order to protect themselves and their belongings, they were armed. Today the Akkermansgilde is something like a shooting club. More information at Akkermansgilde.com
