The architecture of Holland Strawberry House harks back to a centuries-old Dutch tradition. The so-called Cape style with the typical white bell gables in combination with the black tiled roof was developed by Dutch farmers in the Cape Province of South Africa. Nowadays, it is mainly the Cape wineries that are located in these beautiful buildings. We are inspired by the international pioneering spirit of the South African farmers. The strawberry seeds from Holland Strawberry House not only find their way to South Africa, but all over the world. The sculptor Hans ’t Mannetje has carved a suitable facade stone for our Holland Strawberry House. A facade stone should also contain a saying. Our saying is: 'Strawberries in abundance' and that is what we have in abundance on the Vleetweg in Andijk. In the hall of Holland Strawberry House, the artist Shunyam has depicted her artistic view of strawberries in a mural. The true strawberry experience is strikingly expressed in the multi-coloured strawberries. The title of the artwork: ‘Strawberries make my Heart beat’!
