The Sackdilling forest house was a popular excursion destination. "The wonderful forest, the romantic rock formations, the magnificent excursion path to the Krottensee stalactite cave are magnets with a huge attraction. On beautiful summer days, especially on Whit Monday, hundreds of tourists come to Sackdilling." That was around 1900, and Köstler was describing the years between 1860 and 1885. There was a restaurant until 2009 It was like that for a long time, until the restaurant closed its doors forever in spring 2009. The forest house remains, and of course the wonderful forest, as Köstler described it. And a 2.6-kilometer circular hiking trail that leads past the Jura rocks. Ideal for a walk with only a few places where you need a bit of surefootedness.
