Serena Water Park is a water park located in the Lahnus district of Espoo. Serena Water Park was opened in 1989 after extensive excavation and construction work. With the recession in Finland in the early 1990s, Serenaland Oy went bankrupt. The bankruptcy estate was transferred to Puakamaa in Tervakoski in 1992. The current owner is Aspro Ocio, S.A. of Spain, to whom Puuharyhmä Oyj, which previously owned it, was sold in March 2007. Originally, the water park was only open during the summer. Today, it is open most of the year on weekends as well as during school holidays. More than 200,000 people visit the water park every year. Source: Wikipedia
