Beautiful hiking area with hiking trails of various lengths. Marking perfect. Picnic and fire pits invite you to linger. I took the red and white one and it was about 5.6 km with nice trails.

The area around Kojtasjön and Mellansjön, a few kilometers east of the municipality of Vislanda, has long been a popular hiking area. This has resulted in a good variety of hiking trails of different lengths over time. Since the joints partially merge and cross each other, it is possible to combine several joints and thus achieve an even greater variation. The nature around the paths varies between mats and old lake beds, cultural areas and arable land, older and younger forest areas and logging. There are also several ancient monuments here, including a burial ground from the Late Iron Age. In the area around the lakes, certified forestry is practiced, which means that some parts are used for nature conservation and others are produced. It ensures a constant change and variation of the forest over time. The two lakes are shallow and the adjacent land is shallow, which means that the beaches are easily flooded when the water level is high, especially in winter and when the snowmelt. At these times, it can be difficult to follow the trails near the lake. Bird life is abundant here, mainly around Lake Kojtasjön, and several protected plants have been found on both lakes. The middle lake is unusual in that there are no buildings around the lake. Remnants of a gravel ridge extend along the west side of the lake. This was once part of a longer continuous mountain ridge that was formed during the Ice Age, the so-called Alvesta ridge, which stretched from Alvesta in the north over the slopes of Oby to Gottåsa in the south. It is these gravel ridges that provide the municipality of Vislanda with water. Source: http://www.kojtamellan.se/sv-SE

Taglamyren Nature Reserve itself is quite natural and does not have cafes or restaurants directly within it. However, the nearby towns, such as Alvesta, would offer various dining options and amenities for a post-hike meal or snack. You can find more information about services in the area on the Visit Alvesta website.
Given the marshland environment, it's advisable to wear waterproof or water-resistant footwear, especially in spring or after rain. Layers of clothing are always good for changing weather. Don't forget binoculars for birdwatching, snacks, water, and a camera to capture the unique scenery. Sun protection is also recommended due to the open terrain.
