Hazelslack Tower was a Peel (Pele) Tower ( small fortified keeps or tower houses, built along the English and Scottish borders in the Scottish Marches and North of England). Thought to built late 14th Century.

Good homemade fayre including soup and cakes. A building full of character with friendly owner. Safe storage for bikes while you visit. Easily missed as you cycle into Beetham from the north down Church Street. Opposite the church!
