Located in the former ski area of Gaißau/Hintersee below the Wieserhörndl between Spielbergalm & Anzenberg. Very good menu with many local specialties. Grandiose view of the Schmitten and the Berchtesgaden Alps. Here you can excellently review the Alm round (Almenrunde). Also open in winter!

The Almbach (also officially called Oberalm) is the natural, approximately 17 km long outflow of the Hintersee in Salzburg (Austria). It flows through the impressive Strubklamm, flows into the Wiestal reservoir and finally joins the Salzach at Hallein.

Beware of a biting dog. Behind the meadow there is a house and you will be bitten and chased without warning. Really not to be trifled with.

Caution! Behind the house/yard at waypoint 5, a biting dog awaits - you'll be greeted with a growl, chased, and then simply bitten. No greetings to the owner, certainly didn't enjoy the best upbringing ✌️
