This trail I have updated on OpenStreetMaps since the short cut one no longer exists and the long cut one wasn't drawn right in OpenStreetMaps. Anyway, this trail is nice as it connects the state park to the brewery. You can hike from the main parking lot over by the swimming hole or the campground to the brewery and back.

Wayside rest area with an old spring. They didn't re-connect the spring to the pipe after they fixed it up in 2021, since the water is not safe to drink anymore, but there is a nice spring water fall area on the south end of the rest area with some picnic tables.

Big parking lot with a man made swimming hole. I have never been here while it's filled, usually here in the fall.

Interesting looking park with what looks like some historic buildings. The gate was locked and there is a website you need to goto to request access if you are a Junior Pioneer.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has developed a Hiking Club program that features a trail in each of its 68 state parks and recreational areas (https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/clubs.html). Sometimes the trailhead for these hikes can be tricky to find, so here is the trailhead for the Flandrau State Park Hiking Club trail. There is a marker with a password somewhere along the length of the trail, but I am not going to reveal that. You have to find it yourself!
