The Weiße See is located right next to the Schermützelsee and is almost completely surrounded by forest. There is at least one, albeit unguarded, bathing area available for those who like to swim.

Just a short detour, which is worthwhile. Even people who can not go so well, come well, because you can park the car in Garzau. It is not far from there.

Caution!!! The beavers have done a great job here. The path through the beaver lodge is dangerous, so be careful!

The small lake is, so to speak, the appendage of the Schermützelsee.

Just let your inner child out here. 😁 This section is only suitable for pedestrians.

I can't really recommend cycling here: in addition to the steepness, low-lying trees and one or the other large rock are a nuisance

What could be nicer than coming across a beautiful bathing area with clear water while hiking.

September 8, 2022, Garzau Pyramid

The Garzau Pyramid is the largest fieldstone pyramid in Germany. It is located in Garzau, a district of the municipality of Garzau-Garzin. The pyramid is part of an overall complex consisting of Garzau Castle and the associated landscape park. Friedrich Wilhelm Carl Graf von Schmettau laid out the park in 1779. The pyramid was built in 1784 and was originally intended to serve as a mausoleum for the count. However, he sold the property in 1802. In 1911, the Garzau manor house burned down. While the castle was being rebuilt, the pyramid fell into disrepair. Because of its appearance, the building was called the "knight's castle" in the village. It was not rediscovered until 1999. A year later, a support association was founded, uncovered the building and rebuilt it between 2000 and 2010, mainly using its own resources. The interior is now largely in its original condition. For hikers, only conditionally passable for cyclists, as long as the many fallen tree trunks are in the way.
