Great trail descent with roots, stairs, jumps. Technically demanding descent. Great for practice. Gladly again 🤙👍.
Be careful on the steps, some sharp stones and broken roots will get in your way.

Root Trail at the Main Path

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Great root trail with lots of roots and narrow passages between trees. Ideal combination possibilities with the root trajectory Himmelsgang from or to the Ehrenfriedhof Marienbildchen and / or the Wurzeleltrail near the Münsterstraße Parking Gürzenich am Rennweg.

My assessment of the trail category = S1

S1/S2 Parallel Trail from Kriegers Hof

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

It is a S1 / S2 Trail. The path is almost parallel to the singletrack marked in the map! However, it is definitely another parallel path that the GPS unfortunately does not capture so well. Therefore, attention when entering. The way is currently not listed in the map and was discovered today (14.08.2019) by me. Through forestry work is still a lot of wood branches on the trail. The further course is therefore sometimes difficult to recognize.

I think this section is one of the most beautiful trails in Meroder forest. Since before and after further trails join, this area is suitable for all trail interested MTB'ler. I would assign this section to the trail class S1.

Update August: After the continuous rain of the last few weeks, quite deep water grooves, washed out roots and stones. Some of the steps are no longer mobile because the water has washed them away. Extreme caution !!!
