Berggasthof Sattelbauer

Highlight • Mountain Hut

One of the most beautiful mountain inns in the Salzburg region, in the middle of forests and meadows. The magnificent view of the Grießenkar, the mighty Dachstein massif and the awesome bishop's cap will make every heart beat faster.

The restaurant is furnished with wood from a 300 year old farmhouse. The rooms exude an atmosphere of cosiness, comfort and warm hospitality.

Mid-station "Flying Mozart"

Highlight • Rest Area

The Berghofalm is located directly at the middle station and from here it goes to the Wagrain Bike Park. Good selection of dishes in the Berghofalm, fast and friendly service, great taste, rustic furnishings. Nice outdoor area in the sunshine.

Bike Park Wagrain

Highlight • MTB Park

Bikepark Wagrain is very clean and fluid, mostly flowing. Sometimes there are rough stones and root passages up to S2 in the forest. There are detours for some difficult spots. Since the park is in the steep terrain, parts of the neighborhood are quite steep and the middle part is really down. No problem for technically good drivers, who are afraid of steep descents should take the forest path (bypass) on the Stoneman route. Everyone else will have fun. :)

Even by Austrian standards, what they've done here is completely senseless. The fact that they even dare to market something like this to tourists demonstrates how clearly there is no biking expertise in this tourist region. Fortunately, there's apparently a little money available to at least do "something" so they can pat themselves on the back at dinner with other tourism professionals. Well done!

Unfortunately there are no trails in and around Flachau, you can get much further elsewhere in Austria. It doesn't have to be the worst Bikapark, but 3-4 signposted natural trails would be nice. The 5 x 10 meter pump track sections break up the boring road and driving up the mountains a bit.

Beautiful hiking region with many possibilities. This one is one of them. Best with the Flying Mozart all the way up to walk the tightrope there. Back via the beautiful begging path. Great.

The bike park is closed this summer and, as far as I've heard, maybe the coming summer. For more precise updates, I would ask the tourism association beforehand.
