Very nice location, cool trails; something for pretty much all skill levels; but be careful: if the trail builder from the bike park catches you, you'll have to pay a day ticket right away 😮💨

It's not just gravel, there are some nice rocks well fixed to the ground, I don't think it can be said to be suitable for every level, perhaps portage.

Great trails, the lower sections have jumps and gaps Rental bikes and guides available in town (just in case, didn’t go there) You can start the round in Zonza, ride up the street and from there ride down on trails. Great round 👍 If you ride the trials, be nice and support in bike shop in zonza. They maintain the trails and deserve some acknowledgment

Technically very demanding, more of a hiking trail, but mostly rideable by mountain bike.

The route goes over private property, I was forbidden to pass today.

Continuously rideable, flowing trail on a marked hiking trail. Starts very gently and becomes a little more challenging towards the bottom with some tighter curves and small drops. Never exposed or dangerous. Two short, easily rideable climbs. Level S1 - S2.

Well marked top downhill. At the top it's more like S1, the further down you go the more challenging it becomes. Then S2, pictures are of the easier sections.

For experienced riders seeking technical descents, the Notre-Dame de la Serra Trail is known to be quite demanding, especially in its upper third. The Sandy Singletrack Through Bushland also offers a challenging and scenic route. The Bike Park de Bavella also boasts 28 Enduro-DH tracks designed for various levels, including advanced riders.
Corsican bike trails offer diverse and stunning scenery. You can expect breathtaking panoramic views of mountains and the sea, especially from highlights like MTB Singletrack With Sea View and the Balcons de l'Ostriconi trail in Balagne. Trails also wind through fragrant maquis, olive groves, lemon and almond trees, and ancient chestnut forests, particularly in the Castagniccia Mare e Monti region.
Yes, services like bike rentals and guided tours are available. While specific recommendations can depend on the exact location and elevation, spring and early autumn are generally ideal. During these seasons, the weather is pleasant, the maquis is fragrant, and the landscapes are vibrant, offering comfortable riding conditions before the peak summer heat or winter chill.

Generally, you do not need a specific permit for mountain biking on public trails in Corsica. However, some dedicated bike parks, like Bike Park de Bavella, may require a daily "Bike Pass" to access their maintained trails and services. Always check with the specific park or site for their access requirements.
Some trails, like the MTB Singletrack With Sea View, can have gravel-like ground and thorns, making them more suitable for experienced riders with appropriate equipment. It's often recommended to carry replacement tubing for off-road routes. Also, be mindful of private property, as some routes might cross it, and always respect local regulations.
