The Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, a pilgrimage site near the church in Tropie, is located against the backdrop of a high rock, on the Tropie-Rożnów road. The grotto in Tropie was created in 1954.

An unusual place. Once there was a well-known and mighty lime tree here, but unfortunately lightning and thunder knocked it down and today there are only remnants. But how many times have you seen a tree under a shelter? There are also beautiful panoramic views from here, so it is worth taking a break from your walk here.

The Dunajec (German Dunajez/Dunajetz or rarely Dohnst) is a right non-navigable tributary of the Vistula in the western Carpathians (southern Poland) of 247 kilometers in length, with its source rivers Czarny Dunajec (Black Dunajec) and Biały Dunajec (White Dunajec) in the Tatras arises. The length of the Dunajec is measured by its headwater Wyżni Chochołowski Potok in the Western Tatras. Both headwaters unite at Nowy Targ to form the Dunajec, which is dammed up in the Jezioro Czorsztyńskie and Jezioro Sromowskie reservoirs. At the mouth of the Lipník near Červený Kláštor, the old Vistula-Tisza trade route led across the river. The Red Monastery was built at the ford on the Slovak side. This is followed by the up to 300 m deep mountain breakthrough of the Dunajec through the Pieniny, where the river is also a border river with Slovakia for a distance of 18 kilometers. There are national parks on both sides of the border. Then the Dunajec passes the towns of Szczawnica, Krościenko nad Dunajcem and Nowy Sącz. Above Nowy Sącz it takes in the Poprad, its most important tributary. In Rożnow and Czchów, it is dammed up in the Jezioro Rożnowskie and Jezioro Czchowskie reservoirs, primarily for flood protection. North of Tarnów it flows into the Vistula. For tourists, several companies organize departures on wooden rafts (e.g. on the Polish side from Sromowce Wyżne to Szczawnica or Krościenko nad Dunajcem). On the way through the narrow gorge, the well-known peaks Three Crowns (Polish Trzy Korony / Slovak Tri Koruny) and Sokolica can also be seen. The descent takes about two hours and is also suitable for children and the elderly (Wikipedia).

Lovely view of the river and the rocky beach

Białowodzka Góra is formed by a side arm about 500 meters long, departing from Rozdziela (617 meters above sea level). This ridge runs eastwards, first lowering gently and then quite steeply towards the Dunajec River. Particularly steep are the southern slopes, which descend towards the stream which originates in the cauldron south of Rozdziela and flows roughly parallel to the ridge. On this slope there are several rocky perches. One of them is very picturesque, full of rocks and bluffs. The top of this perch is 550 meters above sea level. it is also known as "Zamczyska" which, according to legend, was supposed to stand here. Due to the steepness of the terrain, it can be assumed that the rocks occurring in the reserve were always forestless, which is why interesting rock flora is found here. A large difference in elevation of about 250 meters and the steepness of the terrain make it one of the most charming places in the Nowy Sącz region.
