Rest bench slightly elevated under 2 large oak trees just before Langlingen, but somehow still in the middle of the fields.

A document from 1360 mentions Everd Sporeke as the holder of a fief in "Lanclegen." This marks the beginning of the history and rise of the Spörcken family and the estate in Langlingen. In 1682 (until 1807), the family also received lower jurisdiction, thus gaining a position of power in the village. The Spörcken family, previously endowed with many privileges but not yet ennobled, was elevated to the rank of Imperial Baron in 1717. Through an entailed estate, the property became an indivisible and inalienable family possession. From 1800 onward, Ludewig Wilhelm Mylius is listed as the tenant. In 1827, the estate was sold to the tenant and thus came into the possession of the Mylius family. The estate is not open to the public for tours. It occasionally opens its gates for exhibitions.
