This lake on Linesøya invites to circle on a short ride or medium hike offering different stunning views. It also has a resting area for picnic. Time constraints did not allow me to cycle the outer ring road but Linesøya remains on my list to return. Hardly any traffic, excellent tarmac with very limited number of residence.

Turn around every once in a while on the steep pull up to Melanakken for glorious views across Åfjord and beyond. After the big uphill to the top, a more gradual downhill awaits – glorious running.

Possible camping spot right next to the Austdalsveien. There is a very weathered picnic bench with a table. This camping spot is more practical as it is close to the road. However, I could not find any other camping spot on this stretch of road. So this might help.
