The old pedestrian bridge was dismantled and replaced in summer/autumn 2025 by a new, wide cycle and pedestrian bridge. The access and egress routes were also completely redesigned.

The 110-year-old bridge has now been replaced by a 4-meter-wide structure and can be described as a bridge for both cyclists and pedestrians. It has a non-slip surface and will hopefully last a very long time.
