Top 3 Gorges around Susa

The trail is very difficult to find, starting from the first water crossing, but especially between points 4 and 5 (note: I hiked in the opposite direction). I lost the route several times and had to climb very dangerously to finally reach the cave! Komoot didn't clearly indicate the route, and the hiking GPS also showed this route... So extra preparation is necessary! A truly beautiful area!

There's no real particular danger. Avoid walking on the landslide; you can see the trail on the left (also marked by stone cairns). If you ask the Toesca Refuge to describe the situation and where to go, they'll be very kind and will provide you with information. In general, a GPS track is best.

The Orrido di Foresto Reserve, established with the aim of protecting the prickly juniper, extends for 200 hectares in the territory of the municipalities of Bussoleno and Susa. Its etymology (the Grën Górge = the great gorge) derives from the exceptional dimensions of this gash about 600 m long, 140 m wide and up to 60-70 m deep. According to a historical source, the Great Gorgia was formed during a flood event in the 15th century.

A nature reserve a few steps from Chianocco in Val Susa, with high rocky walls used as climbing on the via ferrata starting further downstream. This area is located upstream of the ravine, nice to visit with the stream flowing in the center, but there are no green areas where you can stop
