The cave to the right in front of the ladder hides two smaller passages, you can safely go in. The ladder can be accessed by walking along the red sign above the gorge.

September 16, 2026, Tündérkapu and the Strázsa Hill Cave

Let me clear up a small confusion: The Sátorkőpusztai Cave, famous for its crystals, has a separate entrance further down, at the foot of the mountain - meaning we are talking about two separate caves within a few meters of each other. The Strázsa Hill Cave, which is the highlight: Its entrance is the "Fairy Gate" (Tündérkapu), which requires climbing up a rather steep "path" towards the rocks. Upon reaching here, we arrive at the open hall section, at the end of which a gate closes the cave entrance. The cave is 65m long, formed by geysers, limestone. Outside the "Fairy Gate", there are a few other cavities, but they are much less significant than the rock formation, from which the view is also brilliant.

The Szopláki-ördöglyuk sinkhole, along the green Római út trail towards Két-bükkfa-nyereg, coming from Pilisszentkereszt, is one of the deepest and longest caves in the Pilis Mountains. The 111-meter-deep, specially protected cave system is closed, but its crevice-like entrance, protected by an iron railing and located right next to the path, is an extremely spectacular stop. It is an excellent photo opportunity, and its large fissure, noticeable from afar, stands out from the rock.
