The St. George Hospital Chapel was first mentioned in 1362 and is the oldest half-timbered building in the city. The single-nave brick chapel, which was replaced by a half-timbered structure after 1450, acquired its present appearance following repeated repairs and, in particular, after the repair and re-walling in 1818. As of 2023, it belongs to the city-owned Neuruppin Housing Association, after the city of Neuruppin took it over from the dissolved foundation. You can find it at Straße des Friedens 8 in 16816 Neuruppin. https://www.goruma.de/staedte/neuruppin/neuruppin-sehenswuerdigkeiten

The massive, rectangular church tower was added in 1480/82 to the previous church, which had been demolished at the beginning of the 16th century. The roof structure of the subsequently rebuilt nave was dendrochronologically dated to 1514. The top floor of the church tower houses the bell cage behind the sound arcades designed as bifora. The stepped jambs of the windows and portals were constructed of rounded brick. The massive buttresses were added to the east wall of the nave only in the 18th/19th century. The gable has three rows of blind arches.

The organ, built in 1873, originated in the organ workshop of Adolf Reubke in Hausneindorf in the Harz Mountains. It has 40 stops distributed across three manuals and a pedal. The dispositional changes made over the years were reversed in 1995 during a general cleaning and partial restoration. The organ is the only surviving Reubke organ of its size and is also the largest Romanesque organ of the 19th century in the state of Brandenburg.

The "Bassewitzbrunnen" was inaugurated in 2007 according to a design by artist Jan Witte-Kropius for the 770th anniversary of the city of Kyritz. The depiction of the brave Kyritz women, who are said to have poured hot soup over the robber baron Bassewitz's head, is a successful realization of the artist's idea and the Bassewitz legend.
