This is a great place to stop and admire a small scenic pond surrounded by grasses and trees. Beavers made the pond by building a dam, which you can see near this spot. On the hike in, you might have noticed some stumps gnawed down to points by these hardworking animals, who felled the trees to make their dam. This is nice place to stop, take some photos, look for the beavers and other animals, and admire the beautiful wetlands.
