May 25, 2024: This is a bird hide and work of art in one. The name of the work is: "Viewing hut for non-existent Birds of the Rottige Meente" by O.C. Hooymeijer. Author of The New Guide to Non-Existant Birds of Europe. In the hut you will find posters with examples of these strange birds, such as the German Heron, the Brown Smoker, the Little Boot and the Field Warbler. Highly recommended to go inside!

A wonderful private initiative; a beautiful bird hide, but much more than that. There are table and chairs, books and games and even binoculars. So you can hold out here for a while.

There is a bird watching hut on the edge of Sondeler Leien. In the winter months you can mainly spot ducks from the hut and during the spring there are many meadow birds in the meadows.
