The 4.9-hectare park, which in many parts resembles a naturally developed, low mountain landscape with pathways, was man-made. Completed in 1989, the park was integrated into the planning of the new residential area as part of the Königswiesen-Süd green space concept. The path winds gently upwards, following the park's topography, where on the left you come across a pond fringed with reeds and water hemp. Several families of mallards enjoy the balmy late summer air and drift leisurely on the water. Every now and then, the tranquil surface of the water stirs, namely when one of the pond's mighty carp or pike pushes to the surface. During the complete cleaning in 2008, foreman Tobias Seliger, who is responsible for the Königswiesen South maintenance district, recounts that they even caught a pike measuring 1.40 meters in length.
