Today we’re passing by the Zornberghütt’n, high above the Spitzer Graben. The panoramic trail between Spitz and Mühldorf leads through magnificent vineyards and offers views that will leave you simply amazed. At around 420 meters above sea level lies the Ried Zornberg, a truly lovely spot to rest, look around, and enjoy. Up there, winemakers from the Spitzer Graben personally await the hikers. They serve their fine wines, homemade juices, and hearty regional delicacies. Nowhere does wine taste better than where it grows – and especially not with that magnificent view over the valley! The Zornberghütte is open on some Sundays when the weather is nice, and today, on the National Holiday, it’s extra special. So put on your sturdy shoes, pack your backpack, and start hiking. You’ll need a bit of stamina, but at the top, you’ll be richly rewarded with enjoyment, coziness, and genuine Wachau hospitality.
