When you see the destruction caused by the recent brutal clear-cutting, compared to the photos from the tourism association, the leaseholder simply belongs in jail. Here, everything was just sawed down without any sense and pushed together with bulldozers. Sadly, this is further proof of environmental destruction.

You should walk this gorge with a little courage and good shoes.

When you arrived at the entrance you went into the gorge on a wide gravel path, which was very nice, and from there you could also see the clear water. As it became narrower and the stream increased, the path became steeper and unfortunately higher and higher, which meant that you almost no longer had a view of the roaring stream. This old wooden bridge was replaced with a new one in summer 2023

A fantastic landscape in the extreme south of Austria. The high nearby mountains and wild water are gorgeous. Towards the end there are many steps where you should hold on tight. The waterfalls are good for time-lapse photography. You should always keep an eye on the bus timetable, as it only runs about every 2 hours.
