Tips from the Community

Zachary
November 20, 2023, Anna Trail

The Anna Trail makes for a great loop. You can get away from some of the crowds by climbing up to this point, at which point the trail becomes perfectly level and you can really fly through the Colorado foliage. You can take Sporting Times back down to complete the loop.

Alvarado Open Space Park is a lightly used park even though it's super accessible. Clear creek runs through the park and both of the trails have bridges crossing the water. This creek acts more like a river, and the water will be roaring in the spring and summer months.

July 17, 2023, Georgetown Lake

Tom Bennoff Lake Trail circles around the entirety of Georgetown Lake. You can fish, boat, picnic, and ice skate on the late (ice skating is of course only during the winter). The lake is easily visible from the interstate, but the trail travels through a treed area on the other side of the water.
