The band Six Mile Grove's singer/guitar player lives in Cannon Falls now and I saw him play at the Creamery park one time after doing a bike ride on the Douglas trail. He said they would be playing another time at the band shell in town. I kept not being sure where the band shell was. The organization that puts on music at the Creamery also has some nights at the band shell. Anyway, I found it today! It's right in between two buildings on main street.

Neat park on the Middle Fork Zumbro River that is where the dam used to be that created the lake that Oronoco Park was on. You can see the walls the dam used to be attached to, as well as they have one of the old gates that would hold the water back. Now there are a series of rock shelves that create rapids on the river that are good for kayakers and tubers. Neat park, the gate was closed today, so I had to park up on the street and walk down.

Oronoco was home to a gold rush in the late 1800's. There is a nice sign about it in this park.

City park on what used to be a lake, until the dam failed in 2017 and the city and county decided to let the river run and they created a rapids section for kayakers and tubers. I had memories of being at this park, and when I finally got here today, I was confused because I remembered it being on a lake. Small playground, lots of picnic areas, some river access.

Great trail, can get busy as you get into Rochester, and there are several bridges over highways and such that I'm guessing were not part of the original train line, that would be a lot of climbing for them.
